Self Aligning Ball Bearing Structure:

Self-aligning ball bearing is a double row bearing with spherical outer ring raceway.
The inner ring, ball, and cage can rotate freely around the center of the bearing, with self-aligning properties.
Its centering ability can compensate for alignment errors, shaft deformation and bearing seat deformation.
It is mainly used to bear radial load. While bearing radial load, it can also bear a small amount of axial load, but generally cannot bear pure axial load, and its limit speed is lower than that of deep groove ball bearings.


For double row self-aligning ball bearings, if there is “K” suffix in bearing model number (for example 1213K bearing), it means bearing has taper, and the taper is 1: 12.
Self aligning bearings have  three seal types – Open, 2RS, and ZZ.
Self aligning ball bearings are widely used in below applications,
Precision instruments, low-noise motors, automobiles, motorcycles and general machinery, etc.

Self Aligning Ball Bearings Clearance:

Normally, self aligning ball bearings have C0 and C3 two clearance group. C0 is standard clearance, while C3 clearance is larger than C0 clearance.
C3 oil gap bearings are suitable for the following occasions,
The temperature difference between the inner and outer ring is large, bear a large load or need to improve the self-aligning performance。
C0 oil gap is suitable for the following occasions,
The rotation accuracy is high, or the axial displacement needs to be strictly controlled。

Cage Material:

Common cages are steel cage, brass cage and nylon cage

Features:

1. Adapt to the alignment error
Self-aligning ball bearings can better adapt to alignment errors than any other bearing.
Even in the case of shaking, the bearing can still run smoothly.

2. Excellent high-speed performance
Self-aligning ball bearings have the lowest starting and running friction among all roller bearings.
In other words, the bearing has excellent high-speed performance.

3. Minimum maintenance requirements
Only a small amount of lubricant is needed to make bearings run efficiently.
Its low friction and excellent design extend the relubrication interval.
Sealed bearings do not need to be relubricated.

4. Low noise and vibration level
A large number of comparative tests show that self-aligning ball bearings have accurate and smooth raceway, so that they have the lowest level of vibration and noise.
