AISI 440 va AISI 304 zanglamaydigan po'latdan yasalgan rulmanlar uchun ikkita keng tarqalgan materialdir.
AISI 440 qattiqligi kuchsiz kislota-asosli va yuqori yuklangan muhitda ishlatishga yaroqli vakuumli söndürme dekarburizatsiyadan so'ng 58 ga yetishi mumkin.
Uglerod miqdori va magnetizmi yuqori bo'lganligi sababli uning korroziyaga chidamliligi AISI 304 kabi yaxshi emas.
